Mrs. Jane Lay’s Tennessee Sin

Ingredients:

1 (16 oz) French Bread loaf, unsliced

1 (8 oz) cream cheese

1 (8 oz) sour cream

2 cups (8 oz) shredded Cheddar Cheese

½ cup chopped ham (or cooked bacon)

½ cup chopped green onions

⅓ cup chopped bell pepper

¼ teaspoon worcestershire sauce

Paprika

Slice off top fourth of bread.  Hollow out bottom section leaving a 1 inch shell.  Cut bread top, inside pieces, and remaining loaf in 1 inch cubes.  Place bread shell and cubes on a large baking sheet. Bake on 350 degrees for 12 minutes or until slightly brown.  Beat cream cheese in an electric mixer until smooth.  Add sour cream and beat until creamy.  Stir in cheese, ham, green onions, bell pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Spoon into bread shell, wrap in aluminum foil, and place on a baking sheet.  Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Sprinkle with paprika.  Cut into finger-size STRIPS.
