Philly Steak and Cheese Sliders
- 12 oz hawaiian rolls
- 1 lb beef, sliced thinly
- 1/2 red pepper, cut in thin strips
- 1/2 green pepper, cut in thin strips
- 1/2 onion, sliced
- 4 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 8 slices provolone cheese
- 3 Tbsp mayonnaise
- 2 tsp oil
- 2 Tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tsp salt – you can use seasoned salt if you want more flavor
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
- ½ tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
Butter Spread:
- 3 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 tsp italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
Directions:
- Combine the salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic together in a small bowl for the seasoning.
- Cut beef into thin strips. Cut the mushrooms, onion and peppers into thin strips.
- In a skillet, heat 1 tsp oil with 1 Tbsp butter. Add the beef, saute until almost fully cooked. Season with half of the prepared seasoning. Remove from the skillet and cover to keep warm.
- Add remaining 1 tsp oil and 1 Tbsp butter. Add the peppers, mushrooms and onions. Cook over medium heat until vegetables are tender. Add the steak back into the skillet, season with remaining seasoning and toss to combine.
- Cut the rolls in half removing the tops. Add the bottom of buns to a parchment lined cookie sheet. Remove the tops of the buns. Spread mayonnaise over bottom of buns.
- Add the cooked beef and vegetables and spread evenly. Top with the cheese.
- Close buns.
- Prepare butter spread. Combine melted butter, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder and mix. Using a pastry brush, generously brush the tops of rolls.
- Cover the pan with foil and bake for 15 minutes at 375°F, remove foil and bake another 5 minutes or until cheese completely melts.
- Cut sliders, serve warm.
Parmesan Chicken Sliders
- 12 pack Hawaiian rolls
- Crispy Chicken – you can buy filets and cook, nuggets, fry your own – however you want
- 1 jar marinara or your favorite spaghetti sauce
- Sliced mozzarella
- Shredded Parmesan
- Butter Sauce:
- ½ stick butter, melted
- 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
- 1 clove garlic, minced
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375. Slice your hawaiian rolls in half and place on a parchment lined cookie sheet. Spread tops and bottoms with marinara sauce. Place mozzarella slices on top of marinara. Top with chicken. Dollop more sauce on top of chicken pieces to really coat them. If you want it really cheesy, place more mozzarella on top of the chicken. If not, just top with the shredded parmesan. Place the tops of rolls back on top. Mix your butter, italian season, and garlic together. Using a pastry brush, brush tops with butter blend. Cover with foil and bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake 5 minutes more or until cheese has melted.
